THE INTERVIEW: We are delighted to share your knowledge, experience & insights with the GallantCEO audience. Lets begin with a little introduction. Tell our audience a bit about yourself and your company.
I’ve spent over 20 years working for software businesses, big and small. 7 years ago, I started working on BIAMI.io and it took as 5 years to build automation technology that is the foundation for today’s business. At BIAMI.io, we turn employees from task executors into their workplace managers by automating up to 80% of their processes and delivering 10X business performance improvement, measured and delivered.
2021 and 2022 has been a tough year for business around the globe. In your experience can you share how businesses prosper in 2023. What lessons have you learned?
It is the third recession I have experienced. Leaders must be ready for a recession at any time. We’ve seen many layoffs happening in the software industry and all of that could have been avoided. My management style is to build smaller teams that perform well rather than over-hiring and firing.
The economy has been turned on it’s head in the wake of the pandemic. What should businesses focus on in 2023?
Three areas: value propositions, operations and growth.
Many business went from working in the office to working at home.
What are the pro’s & con’s of working from home and have you any first hand experience?
I have always worked with distributed teams. What was good that happened after the pandemic is that people accept remote meetings and remote work now. In the past, I experienced situations where we were flying 5 people from London to US for one workshop. While it is good to have in-person meetings, I find it very ineffective to spend two and a half days for 5 people for one meeting.
The war between Russia and the Ukraine has caused a rising effect on inflation, How can business owners combat the rise of inflation and what have you done that you can share?
Business owners need to focus on their margins. Higher inflation means higher prices for both revenue and cost. Business owners should review their pricing at least once per year. Review doesn’t mean always raising the price, but if the value proposition is right, then customers will pay.
In the last 5 years we have seen the rise to Cryptocurrency, Blockchain, NFT’s, Digital Marketing and many more! What do you think will impact the world most in regards to online selling?
Automation supported by AI (Artificial Intelligence) will bring the most value in sales. We’re lucky to be in that business, and already benefiting from it.
On a more subtle note. If you could have dinner with three people, dead or alive who would it be and why?
Haha, great question. I would do it with people who are alive and have conversations with them. You can’t talk and learn a lot from dead people 🙂
Reading is still one of the most popular ways to learn anything. What is your most recommended book(s) by who and what did you learn from them?
Rather than picking a specific book, I’m a big believer in constant learning.
Using the Blinkist app, I review one book daily. I take notes and learn. If there’s something that I want to go through in detail, I buy a book. Always digital version.

What is your purpose for getting out of bed each day and what do you aim to achieve in the future?
Your options are limited when you have young children. They will always kick you out of bed in the morning 🙂
On a more serious note, I enjoy talking to people about improving their businesses and then delivering reports with results to see their faces.
It gives me the feeling that we deliver a real, positive impact on many people.
