Ethereum validators are one step closer to being able to unstake Ether from beacon chains
The Shapella hard fork has been performed on the Goerli testnet. This is the last test before Ethereum validators will be able to withdraw Ether (ETH) from the beacon chain.
However, the hard fork had its problems. Ethereum core developer Tim Beiko said several testnet validators didn’t upgrade their client software before his Goerli fork while deposits were being processed, so it could run as smoothly as possible. pointed out that it was not.

One of the challenges with testnet validators is that there is less incentive to run/monitor validators given the worthlessness of ETH.

He accused testnet validators of having “less incentive” to upgrade given that “ETH is worthless,” but validators should make appropriate adjustments ahead of the Ethereum mainnet fork. I hope that
Through the Ethereum Investment Proposal EIP-4895, staked ETH from the beacon chain will be “pushed” to the execution layer.
Shapella’s upgrade consists of five different EIPs, but EIP-4895 is by far the most anticipated as it brings Ethereum one step closer to a fully functioning Proof of Stake system.
Shapella will be enabled on the Ethereum mainnet in April.
