Google announced a price increase for YouTube TV subscriptions on Thursday. Starting in April, the price will increase from $65 to $73 per month, according to an email sent to subscribers on Thursday.
YouTube TV is Google’s cable alternative. Provides access to live TV and cable channels delivered over your Internet connection.

Google’s move to increase wireless subscription prices for cord cutters comes after several competing online streaming services, including those from Disney, Apple and HBO, also increased their prices.
In December, YouTube TV secured the rights to the NFL’s “Sunday Ticket” package. This will allow you to sell bundles of out-of-market NFL games not shown on local TV to subscribers nationwide.
YouTube will pay about $2 billion a year for the package, CNBC reported. Google hasn’t announced the price of the Sunday Ticket bundle, but the previous owner was $80 a month under DirecTV.
Google will also reduce the price of an add-on to access high-definition 4K streams from $20 a month to $10 a month, according to the email.
