Rokid is adding another to its lineup of portable AR hardware.
Rokid, a human-computer interaction technology company, is back with yet another set of advanced augmented reality (AR) glasses that can replace your current home theater setup.
The Rokid Max offers a 50% larger viewing area than the company’s previous AR glasses, the Rokid Air, released last year. Next-generation AR glasses feature an impressive 215-inch borderless screen, a maximum display rate of 120Hz, and a viewing angle of approximately 50 degrees, even from 6 meters away. According to the company, Rokid Max is perfect for moviegoers looking for a new and exciting way to enjoy their favorite movies and TV conveniently and privately.
Available on the Google Play Store, the Rokid app allows you to browse the web and access content from various streaming services directly from your glasses. You can even play games on your own cinema-sized screen anytime, anywhere.
Despite these technological advances, the Rokid Max has a sleek and compact form factor. Exactly what you would expect from a Rokid product. Optical Micro-OLED, 1920x1080P lens reduces light leakage by 90% while keeping your activities private inside the headset. The device itself weighs just 0.16 pounds (75g) and features a foldable design for portability.
Hui Du, Head of Rokid Hardware Design Center, said in the official release: “Rokid Max provides an immersive cinematic and gaming experience, allowing buyers to bring their favorite games and enjoy the show together wherever they are.”
The Rokid Max is available for pre-order now for $439 and will begin shipping by the end of April 2023. Learn more about the company’s line of AR glasses here. Rockid.com.
