On April 4, Sam Sabetan, an offensive security engineer at Amazon, said: Published findings Nexx’s smart device products are subject to horrifying vulnerabilities, such as allowing hackers to remotely open garage doors without user consent. Other vulnerabilities include being able to control alarms and switch smart plugs on or off for arbitrary users.
Sabetan said hackers can open garage doors from anywhere in the world.In addition to his blog post, he also uploaded video prove his claim.
“More than 40,000 devices in both residential and commercial use are estimated to be affected,” he wrote in a Medium blog post. “Furthermore, we have determined that over 20,000 individuals have active Nexx accounts of his.”

Sabetan also said Nex “consistently ignored” all communication attempts from him, the media and Homeland Security. Nexx users are advised to disconnect their devices immediately.
The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency also Posted Nexx Garage Door Controller, Smart Plug, Smart Alarm Vulnerability Warning.
Nexx has not responded to this allegation.However, on websiteas of Thursday morning, the Garage, Alarms, and Plugs tabs all show a “page not found” message.
