Skullcandy has revamped its popular Crusher ANC headphones, This gives you lots of new features at a low price. Perhaps the biggest improvement from this iteration is battery life, with these headphones now lasting up to 60 hours with active noise canceling disabled and 50 hours with ANC enabled. Get up to 24 hours of juice on a single charge.
The Crusher series has been widely praised for its bass-heavy audio response, and the new ANC headphones continue this tradition. There’s a rotary dial on the exterior that allows you to adjust the bass on the fly, with the option to match a specific number or choose from various presets. You can also use the Skull-iQ app to create your own presets that transfer to your headphones.
Since these are modern headphones, they come with modern features like hands-free voice control, multipoint pairing, Bluetooth 5.2 and a dedicated button to launch Spotify. It also features a quad-mic design, which Skullcandy says improves ANC efficiency, in addition to allowing for a transparent ambient mode.
There are several versions of Crusher ANC, and since this is the second version, expect the price to increase as more features are added. Rather, the opposite is true. The new Crusher ANC 2 headphones are priced at $230, $90 less than the original asking price of $320.
