Costco is known for selling bulk merchandise at affordable prices and offering discounts on big-ticket items such as electronics and appliances.
The problem, of course, is that you have to be a member to get inside the warehouse.

But now many TikTokers have found a way around this requirement. You buy a gift card at Costco that allows you to buy something in-store without being a member.

In a clip that has been viewed more than 6.6 million times, TikToker’s Amin Sheiko shows viewers that flashing a Costco gift card gives them access inside the store.
However, please note that once you enter, you can only spend the amount indicated on the gift card if you are not a member.
“If you don’t have a membership and want to do this, please know that you must pay the full amount with a gift card or your payment will be declined,” one user noted.
“Be aware that if you don’t have a membership, the card will be worth 10% less because of the fees,” said another user.
Another video shows a woman explaining the same concept.

“There’s a Costco employee here,” said one user who claimed to work at a warehouse chain. “Technically yes. But there’s no membership card to return anything. Most Costcos don’t let you spend anything beyond the cash on the gift card.”
Costco has an estimated 830 warehouses worldwide, of which about 575 are in the United States and Puerto Rico.
