Social media giant Snapchat is back with an even more hipster lens powered by augmented reality (AR) technology. These modern filters let you virtually sample the wide variety of new beauty products currently available in stores.
The first is the AR Try-On Lens jointly developed with Supergoop! A corner where you can try on (can you?) 4 colors of the popular skin care brand’s new product “Lip Shade”. Snap has also partnered with American nail polish maker OPI to launch Nail His Lacquer Lens, featuring eight shades of his nail polish that come to life on hands in AR.

The nail lacquer lenses utilize Snap’s nail segmentation technology, allowing you to easily swipe between different colors on your hand in real time.
“With Snap Camera, every product is personalized for the shopper, allowing them to try on products in their own space, allowing them to make more informed decisions.” Snap said in an official release. “I can’t wait to see how Snapchatters use, share and buy Supergoop’s new lenses. And OPI.”
