About 162 new properties were granted permits at Widham’s Peters Village site.
The homes to be built by the Vistry Group will include 118 new two-, three- and four-bedroom homes to be built on 10-acre sites and sold privately under Vistry’s Bovis Homes brand, as well as by local residents. Featuring 44 affordable properties available for rent or rental. shared ownership.
The development plan was given the go-ahead by the City of Tonbridge and Maring City Council in November.
Vistry Kent is already building 261 homes in two other locations in Peters Village. The company offers his 142 new Linden Homes properties in Bridgeside Walk and 119 new Bovis Homes properties in Osprey Rise.
The 162 new properties will form the final phase of the Peters Village precinct, bringing the total number of homes delivered by the consortium of homebuilders across the broad scheme to 989 units.

The plans for Peters Village on the east bank of the Medway River include a convenience store, a medical center, a community center and a sports stadium in addition to a large nature reserve.
Currently, 2 and 3 bedroom properties are available at Bridgeside Walk from £289,995 and the last remaining 4 bedroom property, Osprey Rise, is available from £519,995.
