House of the Dragon Season 2 will continue to explore the Game of Thrones timeline before Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) were born.
The second season of the HBO series will see Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma Darcy) recruit new dragonriders to bolster her army and try to reclaim the Iron Throne from King Aegon Targaryen (Tom Glynn-Carney) and the rest of House Black.
Though Game of Thrones’ ending divided audiences, the series remains a lucrative property for HBO and Warner Bros., so it’s not surprising they’ve expanded its universe with House of the Dragon. Several other projects are also in development, including a Princess Nymeria series titled Ten Thousand Ships and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.
But until those prequel shows come to fruition, “House of the Dragon” season 2 (and the already-ordered season 3) will deliver all the political intrigue, salacious romantic drama and fire-breathing monsters that fans want.
All the dragons that appear in “House of the Dragon” will appear.
