The United States 4.5 million householdsConstruction company Icon is using 3D printing technology to mass-print homes, with the final batch of 100 homes completed. 3D Printing The Georgetown, Texas community.
Icon uses a 45-foot-wide 3D printer to mix and fill it with concrete powder, water, sand and other ingredients. The printer then pipes the mixture and stacks it to form the house.

A project to build 100 3D printed homes in Georgetown, Texas, is expected to begin in November 2022 and be completed by the end of the summer, according to a company statement. Reuters report.

The homes will be single-story, three- to four-bedroom buildings and range in size from 1,500 to 2,000 square feet.
Each costs between $450,000 and $600,000. Average Listed Home Price The price in that area was $499,900.
The exterior and interior walls of each home are made from 3D printed concrete, which Icon says can withstand harsh weather.
Icon says its 3D printed homes offer several advantages over traditional homes: The company claims that the use of concrete materials makes the homes more soundproof, energy efficient and has a lower carbon footprint.
Building a house will take less time and cost less as one human and one robot can replace five humans. The company says.
Icons are about 25 houses So far, no tornado damage has been reported in the area, and one resident told Reuters the house “feels like a fortress” that could withstand a tornado.
In addition to 3D printing homes, Icon is also testing an AI construction bot that can mass-produce floor plans for dream homes.
