In some ways, this is reminiscent of the days of Facebook photo-bombing in the late 2000s, when digital camera SD cards probably had something to do with it. The update is rolling out to all Instagram users worldwide starting today.

X accuses the group of conspiring to withhold billions of dollars in advertising revenue.
An advertising industry group named in X’s antitrust lawsuit said it was “ceasing operations” two days after the social media company sued major advertisers for “illegal boycotts.” The Global Alliance for Responsible Media (GARM) said: Business Insider. Members were told that although GARM is a nonprofit with limited resources, the group intends to fight the lawsuit.

Palantir’s software has reportedly been used to suppress dissent and gather information on immigrants.
Microsoft has partnered with Palantir, the data analytics company that has been accused of enabling the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to act as a “domestic surveillance agency.” Bloomberg Palantir is reportedly planning to integrate its products with Microsoft’s government cloud tools, including Azure OpenAI services, “for the purpose of selling the software” to U.S. defense agencies.
