A new video has surfaced online showing a well-known real estate agent discussing a Pride-themed shop window with the public.. Watch the video below.
London’s Base Property Specialists have received a number of scathing comments online from people disputing the display chosen to celebrate the LGBT community.
Pride celebrates lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex culture, but one agent contacted EYE on condition of anonymity saying the display was “inappropriate” and in no way represents Pride. Said it’s nothing. “It’s just weird and tasteless,” they added.
The agency’s comment comes after a member of the public encouraged others to voice concerns about the agency’s display on YouTube. See image.
In the video, which has been viewed by thousands online, the 8-year-old daughter claimed that a member of the public who saw it expressed concern in a shop window and “she was asking questions.”
He said the exhibit “looks very sexual” and claimed it was “intended for children.”
Responding to his concerns that the exhibit was “purely sexually explicit,” the agency’s female representative was heard speaking on video, but none of it was on camera. “We can only apologize,” she said, claiming that “we never thought of that.” [the display] I was on my way to school. ”
She went on to tell disgruntled members of the public that her “business partner” encouraged them to write an email to the company.
Shortly thereafter, Krisjan Byfield, co-founder and board member of Base Real Estate Specialists, appeared on camera and spoke with a disgruntled person expressing concern.
When a member of the public repeatedly expressed concern that his young daughter was being exposed to images of inanimate wooden objects in sexual positions, Byfield told him:
When accused of “sexualizing children,” Byfield sarcastically said, “Oh, that’s exactly what we do,” while a passerby claimed it was a “hoax.” bottom.
Byfield continued:
The realtor claimed the exhibition was “about the acceptance of different sexualities.” Passers-by said they agreed, but wanted to know why placing the wooden object in a “sexual position” represented “embracing pride and tolerance.”
Byfield concluded that it was “a bit funny and joking.”
The public was again told by Byfield to send any concerns in writing by email.
The man claimed to put the video he recorded on social media, but Byfield said he should if he wanted it, and here it is.
The video received over 200 mostly negative comments yesterday. Content Warning: The video contains swearing.
