New search tools, including labels and related results, have been added to Gmail and Chat by Google after they released new features.
“Search recommendations,” “Gmail labels,” and “Related results” are the three new features that the technology giant has released to provide users with precise and tailored search results and suggestions.
According to a weblog published by the corporation, these functions do not require administrative supervision.
Users can see potential search queries as they input them into the Chat search box thanks to a feature called “Search recommendations,” based on the user’s previous search history. In addition, it assists users in rapidly recalling critical messages, files, and other content on their mobile devices.
The Search Suggestions function is now only accessible on Android-based smartphones, but it is scheduled to become available on iOS-based devices by the end of the month.
The ‘Gmail labels feature enables users to search for messages inside a particular Gmail label within the app, limiting the results to those found under that label. In addition, users can filter their label searches by utilizing the search chips in the Google search bar.
Both Android and iOS smartphones can use the labels function.
For Gmail search queries that return no results, the ‘Related results’ option will offer results from other search engines to enhance the user’s overall search experience.
According to the information provided by the firm, the result function can only be accessed through the web.
Meanwhile, the firm has just stated that Android Go powers more than 250 million monthly active smartphones. This announcement comes shortly after the company announced the release of Android 13.
