Influencer and World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) wrestler Logan Paul is no stranger to controversy. And now his sports drink company, Prime, has caught the attention of US lawmakers.
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer has called on the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to investigate Prime and its caffeine levels, alleging the product is being marketed to children.
Schumer tweeted that the drink’s caffeine content was “ridiculous” and could “endanger children’s health”.

The senator’s first comments were made at a news conference in New York, according to the newspaper. new york postSchumer said the drink was marketed as a “children’s status symbol” and that the caffeine content in it put rival Red Bull to “shame”.
“Buyers and parents beware, this is a serious health concern for children, so we are targeting them enthusiastically,” he said. “PRIME was born out of the wheels of the enigmatic world of social media and influencers. Kids see it scrolling on their phones, they actually need it. , this product contains a large amount of caffeine, which is a disgrace to Red Bull.”
Paul’s Prime cans carry a warning that they are not intended for consumers under the age of 18, but Schumer wants a clearer warning.
According to the can’s ingredient label, one 12-ounce can of Prime contains approximately 200 milligrams of caffeine.
Compared to competitors, this is about 100 milligrams more than the 120 milligrams in Red Bull’s 12-ounce can and about 80 milligrams more than the 122 milligrams in Monster Energy’s 12-ounce can.
Neither Paul nor Prime has publicly commented on Schumer’s accusations. Senator Schumer’s office did not respond to a request for comment. Prime did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
