Chestertons have announced that they have completed the acquisition of Chelsea boutique agency Soames for an undisclosed sum, the second in six weeks and the third this year.
Located in Old Church Street, Chelsea, Soames has been operating in a prime location in central London since 1995, with a loyal customer base centered around Old Chelsea. The acquisition, which closed on July 7, will see Soames’ rental business absorbed by Chesterton’s. Chesterton’s has been in business in Chelsea for decades, with a branch in Cale Street and nearby Fulham, Parsons Green, South Kensington and Knightsbridge.
Richard Jacobs, who has worked with Soames since 1999, will continue to support Chesterton’s business.
The deal follows Chesterton’s acquisition of St. John’s Wood agency Baer & Butchoff in May, as well as a number of other acquisitions including Henry & James, Morgan Randall, London Residential and Snell & Snell.
Chestertons COO Richard Davies commented: “Chestertons has invested heavily in people, systems and technology over the past few years to ensure that we have a solid foundation to support significant business growth.
