There’s been a lot of confusion at Keller Williams UK (KWUK) after a brief press release was issued a while ago. The changes may relate to a notice published in the London Gazette published today inviting creditors of KWUK license holder Grifettey Limited to a virtual private meeting on 11 March 2024 .
Companies House says Grifettey Limited’s accounts are past due.
Grifettey Limited is led by former KWUK CEO Ben Taylor, who is believed to have been a licensee of Keller Williams’ UK operations.
Mr Taylor became executive chairman of Keller Williams UK last year and continued as regional operating partner for the UK business. However, now that Griffetti Limited has convened a meeting of creditors, his status is unclear.
A notice in the London Gazette states:
Grifettey Limited is not mentioned in the press release issued this evening. Instead it is written as:
“Keller Williams announces new chapter in UK
“Keller Williams Worldwide (KWW), the international division of Keller Williams, the world’s largest real estate franchise by number of agents, is restructuring the KW UK region.
“During this transition period, KW United Kingdom offices and agencies will continue to serve our agents and customers at the highest level possible.
“We view change as an opportunity for growth and improvement,” said William E. Soteloff, KWW President. “The recent changes within KW United Kingdom are no exception. We remain fully committed to our mission of changing lives through British property.”
“KWW and what is now KW UK Market Center have already started working together to continue to provide growth, training and mentorship to all KW distributors in the UK,” said Andrew Benn, Operating Principal, KW Advantage Market Center. “As always, our top priority is our agents’ success as entrepreneurs.”
