Intel has launched a new software application called. thunderbolt share This allows for more seamless control of two or more PCs. Through the interface he can sync files between PCs, view folders from multiple computers and drag and drop specific documents, images, and other file types. This makes collaboration easier, especially when transferring large files to and from colleagues, such as raw photos or unedited videos. You can also use the app to transfer data from your old PC to your new PC, so there’s no need to use an external drive to facilitate your move.
When it comes to screen sharing, Intel says the software can maintain the source PC’s resolution without compression, as long as the maximum specs reach Full HD at up to 60 frames per second. And thanks to Thunderbolt technology’s high bandwidth and low latency, your mouse cursor and keyboard will be smooth and responsive between your PCs.
The company says it will license Thunderbolt Share to OEMs as a value-added feature on future PCs and accessories. To use it, you need a Windows computer with a Thunderbolt 4 or 5 port, either directly connected with a Thunderbolt cable or connected to the same Thunderbolt dock or monitor. The first devices supporting this application will be launched in the second half of 2024 and will be available from various manufacturers including Lenovo, Acer, MSI, Razer, Kensington, and Belkin.
