President Joe Biden praised Vice President Kamala Harris, saying, “She can be president of the United States.”
Busy Speaking at an NAACP event, he began by blasting former President Donald Trump, who claimed during last month’s presidential debate that immigrants were “stealing jobs from black people.”
“I know what a black job is: vice president of the United States,” he said.
“You guys, you made it possible for me to be your president and for Kamala Harris to be your vice president,” he said, adding, “And by the way, not only would she be a great vice president, she could be president of the United States.”
This appears to be a more explicit expression of the praise he paid to Harris during a July 11 press conference, where he confused her name with Trump’s.
“Look, if I didn’t think President Trump was qualified to be vice president, I wouldn’t have chosen her to be his vice president,” Biden said at a news conference.
