Around 355 build-to-rent apartments are due to be delivered in Milton Keynes city centre.
The 20-storey proposal will include studio, one, two and three bedroom apartments, landscaped terraces and retail space. There will also be a co-working hub, residents’ lounge, games room, cinema, gym, bar and private dining room.
This was developed by Platform_, a rental housing developer, which goes by the name “PLATFORM_”.
Jean-Marc Vandevillère, the company’s chief executive, said: “Milton Keynes is at the heart of the Oxford-Cambridge Arc and is rapidly becoming a leading centre for innovation in the UK.”
“We are excited to be introducing this innovative housing model to the city centre, just a five-minute walk from the train station, with a development that prioritises sustainability, wellbeing and resident experience.”
Planning approval includes an agreement for the developer to contribute £5.7 million to Milton Keynes Council, including a £3.9 million contribution towards affordable housing, to help the council achieve its affordable housing targets.
The building will use air-source heat pumps and solar panels and all apartments will have an EPC rating of at least a B. There will also be electric vehicle charging ports installed.
