Samsung has temporarily halted shipments of the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. Memories of the Galaxy Note fiasco eight years ago (not in a good way) led the company to halt the release of the earbuds while it “urgently evaluates and strengthens” quality control on the product, the company said in a statement shared by Engadget and Steve. Some users who received the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro before the July 24 launch reported that the ear tips ripped easily. Given that you have to frequently remove and replace the tips to find the ideal fit, the tear-prone material could have led to bad PR and a costly recall if the company had gone ahead with the launch as planned.
Samsung website A new release date of August 28 has been added, but it is unclear whether this is a tentative date or a new confirmed date. Also, sales of the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro on Amazon have been completely removed.
“To ensure that all products meet our quality standards, we have temporarily halted deliveries of Galaxy Buds 3 Pro devices to our distribution channels to conduct a full quality control evaluation before shipping to consumers,” Samsung’s statement read. Samsung Korea previously issued A statement apologizing for quality control issues and promising thorough inspections, but the statement made no mention of the delays.
The company added that customers who have already received the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro and are experiencing issues should contact Samsung or visit a Samsung Service Center.
