Today is Labor Day, so tech news usually slows down. But there’s still some interesting news to be had, including a new Tamagotchi. Bandai’s latest digital pet is made from recycled egg shells. The original Tamagotchi Celebration digital pet is a tan/brown egg-like color with a green and white design with pink accents and buttons.
In some ways, it’s a bit of a throwback compared to more recent Tamagotchi releases: In May, the company re-released the Tamagotchi Connection with its fake antenna to celebrate its 20th anniversary, and last year’s Tamagotchi Uni had Wi-Fi connectivity and gave users access to the Tamagotchiverse.
This one is a bit more basic and is available on Amazon and can be pre-ordered now for $30.
