According to the release, the Bing mobile app will allow users to tap the Bing icon to initiate a chat session and ask various questions via text or voice. Answers can be displayed as bullet points, abbreviated answers, or in traditional text format. According to Microsoft, users can also access Bing updates from the homepage of the Edge mobile app.
Microsoft also announced AI-powered Bing for Skype on Wednesday. Users can add Microsoft’s AI to group chats and ask questions. Chatbots provide answers to entire groups. For example, users can ask Bing for travel suggestions, ask about the weather or recent awards ceremonies. Similar to the Bing mobile app, answers can be displayed in bulleted, abbreviated, or plain text format.
Bing for Skype is available in worldwide preview.
On February 7th, Microsoft held an event at its headquarters in Redmond, Washington to announce AI-powered updates to its Bing search engine and Edge browser. The update was initially released on desktop in limited preview. This means that users have a limited number of queries to search during the first period.
