Uber is roll out An update to the iPhone app lets you see at a glance whether it’s time to walk out the door and meet your ordered ride. The company has started supporting Live Activities, a feature of iOS 16. This is a feature that displays real-time events from compatible apps on the lock screen and on iPhone 14 dynamic islands when the device is unlocked.
Uber’s live activity is a window containing ride status such as ride progress, latest estimated arrival time, whether the driver is already waiting, and whether the ride is complete. It also displays the vehicle type and license plate number of the ride you are waiting for.As McRumors Apple announced Uber support for live activities at last year’s WWDC, and the feature had been tested in select regions over the past few months. This is a wide release with access to this feature from anywhere in the world. A company spokesperson also said the Uber Eats app will support live activities in the coming months.
