In an email to CNN, the Girl Scouts expressed their dismay at the secondary market frenzy.
“Purchasing cookies from third-party sellers robs Girl Scout troops of revenues that fund critical programming throughout the year,” the company wrote.
“The Girl Scouts of America, your local Girl Scouts council, or any licensed cookie manufacturer cannot guarantee the freshness or integrity of cookies purchased from unauthorized sites.”
