Belway London’s East Side Quarter development at Bexleyheath has seen over 100 new residents move in within the past two months.
Developers are building 518 apartments on the site of the former Bexley Council Offices on Broadway.
The first homes were released to the market in early 2019 and 322 of the 400 properties built for private sale have been sold and handed over to new owners. This includes 112 since mid-November.
The remaining 118 properties are affordable housing offered for low-cost rent and shared ownership.
A variety of studio, one, two and three bedroom apartments are being constructed across six separate apartment buildings under development. All properties have balconies and residents also have access to a roof terrace and a communal garden.
The Eastside Quarter also has other facilities on site, including 3,000 square meters of ground floor commercial floor space, a state-of-the-art private gym for residents, and a concierge.
Sam Norman, Sales Manager, Belway London, said:
“The level of demand is very high and the homes are appealing to a wide variety of buyers. Local people.
“The Eastside Quarter’s affordable apartment mix has proven particularly popular with first-time buyers. This is why this development won Best First at the 2022 Evening Standard New Homes Awards held in November.” It’s one of the reasons why we won the Time Buyer Home Award.
“While we have seen first-time buyers show particular interest in one and two bedroom homes, all of our properties are designed to appeal to a wide variety of buyers looking to purchase new homes in Bexleyheath. It is suitable.”
There are currently 1 and 2 bedroom apartments in the Eastside Quarter starting at £281,000.
