A plane bound for Portugal was hit by severe turbulence as food was being served, reportedly injuring eight passengers and two crew members.
High Fly Flight DT 652, operated by Angolan airline TAAG, encountered turbulence over the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) en route from Angolan capital Luanda to Lisbon on Thursday. Novojournal first reported.
Angolan publications described scenes of horror among the plane’s passengers, saying food and drink carts were splattered around the cabin during the worst of the turbulence.
