Government measures to address anti-social behavior will make no difference, said Lord Kiel, who described Labor as “very much a party of law and order”.
Both major parties have put crime-fighting plans at the center of their campaigns to win votes in May’s local elections.
Sir Care, who celebrated his third anniversary as Labor leader on Tuesday, accused the Conservative Party of treating anti-social behavior as “low-level”.
He told the station during a visit to East Lancashire: I deeply disagree. “
The prime minister announced a series of measures last week to crack down on anti-social behavior. This includes a ban on laughing gas, trials for faster justice, and stronger police in areas of England and Wales deemed to have high levels of low-level crime.
But Lord Kiel said the government hadn’t done enough.
“If you talk to people in Burnley or anywhere else in the country, they tell you that even after 13 years, anti-social behavior is still unaddressed.
“They are pretty fed up with the government and don’t think the measures taken by the government have made any difference.”
Sir Kiel reiterated Labor’s promise to place 13,000 police and community support officers in neighborhood roles.
Sunak, meanwhile, welcomes Finland as the newest member of the NATO Defense Alliance.
Finland joined the alliance after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, and Sweden is also seeking to join.

“All NATO members must take the necessary steps to recognize Sweden too, so we can come together as one alliance to defend freedom in Europe and around the world.”
