New weapon types and PVP multiplayer keep the old arcade feel fresh.
After over a year in early access, Fruit Ninja VR2 has officially launched its PC VR headset and Meta Quest headset via Steam, offering players an all-new lineup of immersive fruit slice challenges.
Fruit Ninja VR2 It features the same familiar game modes from the original 2010 classic. Fruit Ninja VR, Arcade, Classic, and Zen. Slice fruit to the beat of an intense soundtrack, or see how fast your sword skills really are in a game mode called Fruit Smasher. There is also a new bow and arrow weapon that allows you to stack combos from a distance.
If you’re feeling lonely, the game has a new multiplayer social hub where you can meet other fruit ninjas and compete for glory in the arena.
As part of the official launch, developer Halfbrick Studios will increase the price of the game from $20 to $25. Fruit Ninja VR2 Available today for Quest 2 and Quest Pro headsets. As of this writing, the game is still officially labeled “Early Access.” vapor So if you want to save another $5, you’ll have to move quickly.
According to the developer, Halfbrick Studios will be introducing additional content in the future, including new game modes and weapon types that will be released “after launch on the Quest store and after leaving Early Access.”
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Fruit Ninja VR2 During early access. VR motion controls blend beautifully with Fruit Slice gameplay, and the introduction of long-range bows and arrows adds a whole new layer to the experience. I also like the addition of social multiplayer. Let’s hope Robbie doesn’t fill up with her screaming 11-year-old anytime soon.
