Twitter recently launched a new feature that allows Blue subscribers to Tweet messages of up to 10,000 characters. It also supports bold and italic formatting.
The new feature allows you to write much longer-form texts, much like essays, than the short ones that have characterized Twitter over the years. Twitter had a limit of 140 characters for years before doubling it to 280 characters in 2017.
Twitter Blue is the company’s subscription product that offers more features than the free version, including blue checkmarks. Signing up through Twitter costs $8/month.
