The human mind is what distinguishes one from another, said Murthy.
“If there is competition between you and me, use the ChatGPT output as a base and add your own differentiation, your own smartness, your own tweaks,” continues Murthy. “And then the teacher will be more impressed with you than with me.”
“Lazy people get Cs. Only smart people get A’s,” says Murthy. “So I’m not too worried about ChatGPT.”
In 1981, Murthy and six other engineers founded Infosys with an initial capital of just $250. Infosys provides business consulting, information technology, software engineering and outsourcing services.
Today, the company has grown into a multi-billion dollar brand with a market capitalization of $62 billion and employs over 346,000 people worldwide, from Asia Pacific to North America, Europe and the Middle East.
Infosys was the first Indian company to list on the Nasdaq in March 1999, followed by listing on the New York Stock Exchange in December 2012.
Murthy said he uses ChatGPT as a tool and an assistant to produce better quality work and output, but not as a replacement for humans.
