Mishon Mackay has to reduce headcount due to “tough market” conditions.
Managing director Alex Mackay told EYE that several staff members have left in recent weeks.
Mackay alleges that the staff left voluntarily or that they left because of an unsuccessful probationary period at the company.
“It’s a tough market with low sales,” says Mackay. “Few people move [home]”
One of Brighton, Hove and Mid-Sussex’s best-known real estate agents, Michon McKay has seven offices in the city, spread across the South Downs and beyond. The company is also based in London.
However, our offices in Brighton, Hove, Preston Road, Brighton, Hurstpier Point and Rottingdene continue to operate as normal with fewer negotiators, while our two branches in Kempttown and our offices in Portslade and West Hove now operates as a ‘satellite office’. Mackay said the company has no staff members because it has to balance staffing needs and budgets.
