Motorola and Lenovo announced at MWC 2024 a new cross-device management tool called Smart Connect that allows users to seamlessly switch tasks from one device to another. For example, use just swipe gestures to move podcasts from your phone to your tablet without losing your location, or use the integrated sharing hub to easily share files between connected devices. . The companies have not yet announced the full list of compatible devices, but so far Smart Connect only works with Lenovo PCs running Windows 10 or later, as well as some Lenovo tablets and Motorola devices. It says.
Smart Connect allows users to move between multiple devices without interruption using the same keyboard and mouse, and receive notifications synchronized across connected devices. It also includes a smart clipboard feature that acts as a single clipboard for all connected devices, allowing you to copy and paste items from one device to another. Smart Connect allows users to turn their phone into a hotspot for a connected tablet or her PC, or even use it as a webcam. Users can also cast content from their phones to other connected devices, allowing them to watch videos on a larger screen, for example. Smart Connect will be available through the Microsoft Store and Google Play Store in the coming months.
In addition to Smart Connect, Motorola is showing off the Adaptive Display concept it introduced last fall. Motorola’s concept rollable display can be transformed from a flat plate to other shapes to suit different needs. For example, a tent-style setup that can stand on its own or be worn around your wrist like a watch.
