Cars could be taking to the skies sooner than many imagine, as tech startups attract more and more reservations.
A $300,000 flying car known as Model A is under development at Aleph Aeronautics, and the SpaceX-backed Silicon Valley startup said it has received more than 2,850 pre-orders.
CEO and co-founder Jim Dukhovny said: CNBC On Monday, it was announced that all potential buyers had paid the required deposit to secure their reservations. It costs $150 to write your name, and he can also pay $1,500 to get in the priority line.

The two-seater is fully electric and has an estimated range of 200 miles and flight range of 110 miles.
Owners of this futuristic vehicle will be able to “drive on the road, take off vertically if desired, and fly above traffic,” the company’s website says.
Aleph Aeronautics is scheduled to begin deliveries in the fourth quarter of 2025.

The Model A will be available for pre-order in October 2022, with deliveries expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2025. In July, Aleph announced that it had received $250 million in pre-orders.
If all 2,850 people who reserved a Model A completed their reservations, the company would have revenue of more than $850 million. And for those who can’t spend $300,000 on a flying car right now, Aleph said he’s developing a $35,000 four-seat sedan (called the Model Z) scheduled for release in 2035. Ta.
The Model A was the first flying car to receive approval for test flights from the Federal Aviation Administration in July.
Dukhovny called it “one small step for airplanes, one giant step for cars.”
