mark zuckerberg is taking a new approach to Meta marketing. It’s about doing it yourself.
The billionaire is Meta’s No. 1 influencer at the moment, using the enthusiasm in his new posts to show some of the company’s products in action.
in Recent Instagram posts, Zuckerberg demoed Meta’s new Ray-Ban AI glasses, which are still in beta. He used the post to show off some of the features that might be useful during his vacation, such as analyzing historical buildings and answering questions about the natural world.
If Zuckerberg decides to bring Meta’s influencer marketing into his company, he’s doing a pretty good job. Some users reacted enthusiastically to the billionaire’s demonstration.
“Excited to try this as a translation tool for signs and text while traveling,” one Instagram user commented.
“That’s amazing! I want this backpack,” echoed another.
Last month, the tech CEO posted another photo of himself wearing meta Ray-Ban glasses at McDonald’s in Japan.
Zack is known for using Instagram to promote Meta’s products. In a video posted late last year, he used Meta’s AI Ray-Ban to teach his daughter how to braid her hair.
He also used his platform to promote the company’s Quest 3 headset, which is in new competition with Apple’s much-talked-about Vision Pro, which launched last month.
Zuckerberg posted a video reviewing Apple’s new mixed reality headset and, perhaps unsurprisingly, found Meta’s $500 Quest headset to be superior. The billionaire has also taken to criticizing Apple’s headsets on other social media platforms and in private meetings behind closed doors.
In a Threads post last week, Zuckerberg said that if Meta’s Quest were to look like Vision Pro in five years, “we would be far behind.”
Meta’s CEO has been posting from a mini-tour of Asia in recent months. So far, he’s been skiing with his family, making swords in Japan, and attending Anant Ambani’s lavish pre-wedding party with his wife Priscilla.
The billionaire also reportedly made time for work and met with Facebook developers in Tokyo.
