Recteq announced five new smart pellet grills in October, including a unique dual-chamber and griddle option. Now the company is back with two more models. A larger version of the recently overhauled Flagship 1100 and a built-in design for outdoor kitchens.
of Flagship XL1400 includes all the updates announced for the Flagship 1100 last fall, including a new Wi-Fi-enabled controller and a sturdier leg design. The main difference in this new version is that it has improved cooking capabilities. The Flagship XL 1400 has 1,437 square inches of grilling space and features a second grill set above the main cooking surface. Recteq also increased the size of the pellet hopper, allowing him to hold as much as 60 pounds of fuel when full. Depending on the brand you use, this is equivalent to at least 3 bags of pellets. That’s far more than even the most time-consuming brisket cooks will need.
Like the flagship 1100, this XL version is more than just a slow smoker as it has a temperature range of 180-650 degrees Fahrenheit. Wi-Fi connectivity also allows you to adjust cooking temperatures and monitor the internal temperature of your food from your phone.Flagship XL 1400 is available now For $1,599.
Permanent outdoor kitchens are becoming increasingly popular as a social gathering place in the home. Typically these include some kind of fixed counter or cabinet-mounted grill, but if you want to do that with a pellet grill, there aren’t many options. While most people simply remove the legs or carts on their pellet models to make them work in these setups, Recteq has a new option designed specifically for outdoor kitchens.
of E Series Built-in 1300 is a fully stainless steel smart pellet grill with 1,300 square inches of cooking space. This model also features Recteq’s recently updated Wi-Fi controller with dual-band connectivity and compatibility with the company’s app. Like the SmokeStone griddle, the E-Series built-in features an easy-access front-fill hopper and a removable secondary cooking grate. The company says the frame-shaped drip pan improves grease drainage efficiency, and the cast iron deflector distributes heat evenly.
Like the company’s other pellet grills, the E Series built-in is more than just a smoker and can be the cornerstone of an outdoor kitchen without the need for a separate grill. This model operates from 180 to 700 degrees Fahrenheit and is suitable for everything from barbecue to grilling. Permanently installed grills like this are usually very expensive, and the E-Series Built-in 1300 is no exception. It’s $3,499That’s $900 more than the company’s 2,535-square-inch “BFG” unit, which was previously the most expensive option in Recteq’s arsenal.
