The bright orange Rabbit R1 is easily one of the most memorable devices to debut this year. If you’re one of the lucky few who were able to order before the first lot sold out, you’ll soon receive your product. to you.according to Rabbit, the first batch of pre-orders in the US will ship on March 31st (Easter Sunday). However, it will take several weeks for the device to reach its destination. The company estimates that the first orders for R1 will be in customers’ hands “around April 24.”
Rabbit is also hosting a pickup party in New York City on April 23rd, which is open to all buyers, not just Batch 1. We’ll be announcing more information about the party and first deliveries next week.
The company’s Rabbit R1 demo, which took place alongside CES, generated a lot of hype and further questions about the purpose of dedicated AI hardware in the smartphone era. This is largely powered by his LLM from San Francisco startup Perplexity, which positions it as a more convenient AI assistant that you can take with you anywhere. His Rabbit R1, co-designed with Teenage Engineering, features a physical scroll wheel and rotating camera, as well as an adorable animated bunny that serves as a mascot.
The R1 pickup party will be held in New York on April 23rd.

The company began accepting pre-orders for the $199 Rabbit R1 in January, but the first batch of 10,000 units quickly sold out. Batch 1 will begin shipping immediately, but later buyers will still have to wait several months for it to arrive. Batch 7 is currently available for pre-order.
