The annual Microsoft Build developer conference officially kicks off today, but the tech giant has already revealed a huge list of AI-centric hardware news. At a jam-packed press conference on Monday, Microsoft announced one of the biggest changes to the Windows PC landscape in years. Copilot+ PCs, led by the new Surface Laptop and Surface Pro models, are a promising new line of computers powered by Qualcomm Arm chips and (if Microsoft is to be believed) compatible with the performance that plagued previous versions of Windows. So what else does Microsoft have in store this week? We’re sure to see more AI news. With hardware and Windows 11 news already announced, CEO Satya Nadella and staff are looking forward to seeing how the company’s OpenAI partnership develops going forward, and Redmond’s announcement of Google’s Gemini upgrade just last week. We will be able to explain in more detail how we continue to counter this.
