Spotify officially increases premium subscription prices The company is increasing its prices in the US starting in July, following hikes reported in April. The company is increasing the price of its Individual plan from $11 to $12 per month, and its Duo plan from $15 to $17 per month, the same as last year’s $1 and $2 hikes, respectively. However, the Family plan will increase by a whopping $3, from $17 to $20 per month. Only students will get the discount, who will continue to pay $6 per month.
Spotify is The last time was last JulyUp until that point, Spotify hadn’t raised its prices since the service launched 15 years ago, and it may have been optimistic to expect the next price hike to be that far away, especially given Spotify’s continued focus (and funding) on audiobooks.
Premium subscribers will receive an email from Spotify next month detailing the price increase and providing a link to cancel their plan if they wish. Users currently on a Spotify trial will be able to use the service for $11 a month after their trial ends, after which the price will increase to $12 a month.
