The only people exempt from Spotify’s recent price hike are students who pay a discounted monthly rate.
Spotify Official Confirmed The company said Monday that it will raise monthly fees for nearly all of its paying U.S. customers starting next month.
“We continue to invest and innovate in our product features and regularly update our pricing to ensure we provide the best experience for our users,” the company explained.
Individual plans will increase in price by about 10% in July, from $10.99 to $11.99, while Duo and Family plans will increase by $2 and $3, respectively, to $16.99 and $19.99.
The Premium Student plan, which college students can subscribe for up to four years, will remain at $5.99 per month.

This is Spotify’s second price increase in less than a year, after increasing the price of its individual plan from $9.99 to $10.99 in July last year.
The music streaming giant has kept its consumer subscription price at $9.99 for over a year. Ten yearsFrom its US launch in 2011 to 2023.

You don’t need to pay a subscription fee to use Spotify; the music streaming service also has an ad-supported free plan. Spotify recently removed unlimited access to song lyrics for free users, further clarifying the boundary between free and premium subscriptions.
Spotify rival Apple Music has a similar pricing structure for students ($5.99), but has not increased the prices of its individual and family plans from $10.99 and $16.99, respectively. cheap Better than its Spotify counterpart.
