Are you more than your past? Penroseis a short but impactful psychological horror game for Playdate from Liza Olson. The answers will ultimately depend on the choices you make as you try to find a way to escape the strangely titled town.

Some of the objects your character encounters, such as an old playground, evoke a little nostalgia, while others, such as a mirror or a locked bedroom door, seem to have ties to more painful events. As you leave your starting house and make your way through the seemingly abandoned town, things get increasingly strange.
You’ll encounter some spooky creatures, as well as a creepy mall that just oozes with inexplicables (I love this design so much I kind of hate it), and the stores within the mall have fun names, too, each one a play on a real-life chain, like “Not Tropic.” PenroseBut the only really difficult part is the catacombs, I was stuck there for quite some time, and when I figured out how to get through it I felt even smarter.
