The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 will be the first phone to feature a 50-megapixel rear camera, a bigger battery than any previous model, and AI capabilities, according to a product page leaked by Evan Blass on Substack. X/@evleaks on Twitter Brass is known for his track record of accurately leaking information about unannounced devices through other means, and now evleaks has obtained and published copies of product pages for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 ahead of Samsung’s Unpacked event on July 10, though details aren’t fully confirmed until Samsung itself announces them.
The previous Galaxy Z Flip model only featured a 12-megapixel rear camera, so the Flip 6’s 50-megapixel wide-angle camera (paired with a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera) is a significant upgrade. Unlike the previous version that had a 3,700 mAh battery, the upcoming model will have a 4,000 mAh battery, providing up to 20 hours of WiFi internet browsing, up to 23 hours of video playback, and up to 68 hours of music playback. Meanwhile, the display dimensions of this model, both the main and external displays, are almost identical to those of the Z Flip 5.
Perhaps one of the most interesting AI tools on this phone is the Personal Interpreter feature, which can display translations on both screens. If you use this feature to converse with someone, they’ll be able to read what you’re saying in their language on the external display. If it’s reasonably accurate, it could be a very useful tool for traveling. When you fold the phone, the Chat Assist feature will give you a selection of suggested replies and let you send texts from the front display. Google’s Circle to Search is also available on this device.
Samsung did not reveal any major upgrades or changes to the Galaxy Z Fold 6, but the leaked product page says the new model will have a slightly larger front display. The main display is slightly smaller and the phone itself is slightly thinner, making it lighter than the previous model, even though the battery capacity remains the same. Like the Flip 6, the next Fold will have AI-powered features such as Note Assist, which can automatically transcribe recordings and summarize notes. It will also have Google’s Circle to Search feature, which displays personal translator translations on both sides of the main screen and can be used with the S Pen.
The company is expected to unveil both devices at its Unpacked event in a few days, along with some new accessories including the Galaxy Ring, Galaxy Watch 7, Galaxy Watch Ultra, Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro.
