I love the @LizaMinnelliOutlives account on X (formerly Twitter) (surprisingly, it’s not run by the icon herself), which lists celebrity deaths, agreements, and the like. But surprisingly, the real Liza Minnelli isn’t alive to hear new word from her late mother, Judy Garland. The actress and singer has signed up with ElevenLabs, an AI startup that offers cloning services, to Permission to reproduce mother’s voice new Reader AppGarland joins the ranks of James Dean, Burt Reynolds and Sir Laurence Olivier as a host of deceased stars whose AI voices have been included in the Iconic Voice Collection, in a deal with their estates for an undisclosed sum.

ElevenLabs releases reader app Coming later this month, users will be able to listen to any text on their phone, including messages, PDFs, news articles, and more. Currently, the service is available in English only for iOS users in the US, UK, and Canada. But ElevenLabs says Waitlist for Android users The company claims that the app will be released on the Google Play Store in the “coming weeks.” The company also said that it is working to make the app available in all languages supported by its multilingual model (currently 29 languages), and will then release it worldwide.
