Amazon Prime Day is Prime Membership While it’s fun to shop the various items on sale, most discounts are a waste of time, but discounts on gadgets are actually worth it. Prime Day sales have always offered discounts on many of our favorite products, and this year is no exception.
If the items on your list are tech or tech-related, Engadget has your back. We’ve scoured Amazon to find the best Prime Day deals on tech and gadgets you can get this year. And the good news is that not all of the discounts are on big-ticket items. That’s right, you can get some good tech without spending a fortune during these sales. These are the best Prime Day deals under $25 we could find in 2024.
Just to be clear (and for the uninitiated): Engadget treats tech deals with the same care as “regular” tech news. When we scour the web for deals, we’re looking not only for the best possible prices, but also the best products. Our goal with our deal coverage, and especially with events like Amazon Prime Day, is to feature only the best deals on gadgets that we’ve tested and rated highly, or that we actually use and know are worth the money.
of Apple AirTag is our pick for the best Bluetooth tracker for iPhone users. It uses Apple’s vast Find My network to track lost items, anonymously pinging nearby iPhones to triangulate their location. Currently on sale for $24 per tag instead of the $29 list price, it’s one of the best deals under $25 this Prime Day.
Amazon’s most The Popular Echo Speaker, Echo Dotis our pick for the best smart speaker under $50. In addition to playing music with surprisingly good sound quality, it can also control your smart home devices and tell you the weather, just by asking Alexa.
It has a list price of $50, but the Prime Day sale will bring it down to $25, which is only $2 more than its all-time low from last year’s Black Friday — making it one of the best Prime Day deals under $25 this year.
The smallest Echo speaker is Echo Popand right now the price has dropped to just $18 instead of $40, which is a 55 percent discount and matches the lowest price in previous sales.
Its small size means you can add Alexa help and smart home control to dorm rooms, bathrooms, small kitchens, and other places where you don’t have much space.
The discount applies to all four colors: black, white, lavender, and teal, and for about $2 extra you get a pop. Sengled Smart Light Bulbs.
On Prime Day, Echo Pop and smart light bulb set $20. If you buy the set separately at full price it will be $60.
The Echo Pop is perfect for places where space is limited, like small kitchens, dorm rooms, bathrooms, etc. Pair the Alexa speaker with a smart light bulb and the set becomes a great little smart home starter kit.
of Fire TV Stick Light Normally a pretty reasonable $30, it’s currently half off at $15, matching the lowest price ever recorded on Black Friday.
The Lite stick is a budget-friendly option featured in our streaming devices guide. It supports FHD streaming with HDR and comes with an Alexa voice remote. However, it doesn’t allow you to control the volume or power on your TV, so you’ll need the original remote for that.
If you want to keep an eye on your living room or kitchen while you’re away (or in another room), you might want to buy an indoor security smart camera. Blink Mini 2 The indoor camera is on sale for $20 thanks to Prime Day (it’s normally $40).
The second generation of the mini camera can actually work both indoors and outdoors, but if you want to install it outdoors you’ll need a weatherproof power adapter. Like any other security smart camera, it will alert you when motion is detected, transmit live footage from the camera, and even let you hear and talk to people in front of the camera.
Amazon Owning a Smart Plug Highly recommended for anyone with an Alexa-focused smart home. Hassle-free connection and reliable control of lamps, fans, and other simple devices you plug in. I’ve used a variety of smart plugs over the past year or so and this one has been the most reliable. Just keep in mind that it only works with Alexa-enabled speakers or via the Alexa app on iOS or Android.
The plug is currently priced at $13, a 48% discount, matching the lowest prices recorded on Prime Day in July and October of last year.
of Kasa TP-Link Smart Wi-Fi Outdoor Plug EP40A With the coupon, it’s on sale for $20 instead of the usual price of $25. While it’s not the cheapest price ever, it’s still a good price for our top outdoor smart plug.
If you’re planning some extravagant (or even minimal) Halloween or holiday lighting outside your home, this could be a good buy: It works with all four smart home assistants (Alexa, Siri, Google Assistant, and Samsung’s SmartThings), has great Wi-Fi range, and features two plugs that can be controlled separately.
Anchor Bio-braided USB-C to USB-C Cable is one of our picks for the best iPhone charging cables, and it’s on sale for just $15 instead of the usual price of $18. While it’s not the cheapest price ever, it’s still a great deal for a decent-length 6-foot cable that supports up to 240W charging.
These cables support 240W, so you can basically charge any kind of device at top speed, which is why we think this is one of the best deals under $25 this Prime Day. And 6 feet is a good length for a charging cable, so you won’t have to lay it next to a wall.
of JLab Go Airpop These earbuds received a special award in our Best Budget Wireless Earbuds guide because they’re great earbuds at a very affordable price, so if you’re looking for a pair of earbuds that you won’t be too worried about losing, these might be for you.
And now on Prime Day, the earbuds are on sale for $17 instead of the list price of $25. The lowest price we’ve tracked is $15 earlier this year.
Our guide to the best budget earphones Amazon Echo Buds They’re a great option for an open-ear design. I love that they support auto-pause and multi-device pairing. They sound great out of the box, but it’s definitely worth tweaking the audio with the EQ sliders in the Alexa app.
For Prime Day, Amazon has slashed the price of the earbuds to $25, half the list price and $10 cheaper than their previous lowest price.
of Roku Express The price has been reduced from $30 to $18, making it the budget runner-up in our streaming devices guide. We love Roku’s convenient (and adorable) interface, and it also gives you access to a ton of free content.
However, please note that the Express version does not support 4K, and the remote is not voice enabled and cannot control the volume or power on your TV. If you want 4K support and a TV control remote, RokuExpress 4K+ which dropped to $27 instead of $40.
of J-Tech Digital Ergonomic Mouse It’s been discounted to $25 from the usual price of $30 just for Prime Day. The lowest price it’s been so far is $17.
This is our budget pick in our ergonomic mouse guide. Its vertical format puts your hand in a more natural handshake position, making it comfortable even after hours of clicking. Plus, it has two extra programmable buttons and a handy RBC light (which can be turned off).
