With President Joe Biden dropping out of the 2024 Democratic presidential race, the MAGA world will be extremely saddened to see him go.
Biden on Sunday rejected his party’s presidential nomination, instead endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris as his top choice.
The announcement sparked outrage from former President Donald Trump and his supporters, with some calling the sudden switch in nominees a “coup.”
“So we have no choice but to spend time and money fighting the bad Joe Biden, whose approval ratings have plummeted after a terrible debate and he’s out of the race,” Trump said. I have written Speaking on his Truth Social, he said: “Now we have to start all over again.”
Trump added that he believes Republicans “should be paid for their wrongdoings.”
Ian Miles Chong, a conservative blogger and friend of Elon Musk, reposted a screenshot of Trump’s post and said, “The Trump campaign was forced to waste money running against Biden for a long time, but in the end the Democrats pulled Joe out of the election and pulled the rug out from under Trump.”
Trump makes a very good point: his campaign was forced to waste money running against Biden for a long time, but in the end, the Democrats pulled the rug out from under Trump by taking Joe out of the election, which is more of a form of cheating. pic.twitter.com/vW1nzxSagW

Former North Carolina Rep. Madison Cawthorn echoed Trump’s demand for refunds from the Biden-Harris campaign.
“Someone sue the Biden Harris campaign for a refund and ask for a preliminary injunction,” Cawthorn said. I have written About X.
“The campaign should not spend a dollar on Kamala’s behalf until this litigation is fully resolved,” he added.
Stephen Miller, a former senior adviser to Trump, also appeared on Fox News and lashed out at Republicans for “spending tens of millions of dollars against Joe Biden.”
“Now they wake up one morning and say, ‘Never mind, we’re going to cancel the entire primary and get rid of the candidates,'” he added.
Biden’s withdrawal leaves Trump as the oldest candidate for president of either major party, and the Trump campaign may be understandably furious, since they spent months devoting significant airtime at the Republican National Convention to criticizing Biden’s age. That argument no longer works against Harris, who is 59 years old.
But Biden’s withdrawal didn’t seem to come as a total surprise to Republicans: The Trump campaign had prepared an anti-Harris attack ad, which it released within an hour of Biden’s withdrawal.
There have also been signs for weeks that Republicans are preparing for a Harris-Trump showdown.
Following Biden’s disastrous performance in the June CNN debate, Trump posted a video to his Truth Social account on July 3 in which he discussed the possibility of running against Harris instead of Biden.
“I removed him from the election, which means Kamala won,” Trump said in the video.
Long before Biden left office, Trump had been trying out mean nicknames for Harris, including “Silly Kamala Harris” and “Sniffing Co-Pilot Kamala Harris.”
And on Wednesday, the Trump-Vance campaign said it would not agree to a vice presidential debate until Harris had chosen her “running mate.”
Representatives for Harris and Trump did not immediately respond to Business Insider’s request for comment sent outside regular business hours.
