Somewhere Elsewhere Book Keanu Reeves and China Miéville
A few years ago, Keanu Reeves dove into the world of comics with a series called “Comic World.” BRZRKR, He collaborated with longtime comics writer Matt Kindt on the story. The 12-issue limited series follows B, a half-man, half-god warrior who leads a violent life but can’t bring himself to die. And after 80,000 years of life, he really does want to die. Eventually, he ends up working as a killing machine for the U.S. government.
Netflix There are plans for the series to be made into a film and an anime. BRZRKR The universe continues to grow beyond that. This week, Reeves and China Miéville, a writer known for her works of “weird fiction” that blend science fiction, fantasy and other genres, Somewhere Elsewhere Bookwhich returns us to the story of B, a bloody, epic novel. Written in a unique style, it starts off awkwardly in the prologue before switching over to a completely different plot. If there’s one thing reviewers agree on, it’s that this book isn’t afraid to take a weird turn.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2024) celebrates the 40th anniversary of the franchise we as a society have never grown tired of (no complaints). In it, the Turtles split off and leave New York, with the first few issues seemingly focusing on one of the turtle brothers. But they eventually get back together and do what they do best: fight bad guys and eat pizza. This one should be a no-brainer, even for those who haven’t followed many of the series over the years.
