logitech is announced $70 (£75) line of colorful, budget-friendly 1080p webcams Brio 300 series. Its purpose is to help users suffering from “poor lighting conditions, unsightly camera angles, and poor quality sound.”
To that end, the consumer-oriented Brio 300 and business-oriented Brio 305 models feature high dynamic contrast, automatic light compensation (the company’s light light 2 tech) and digital microphone with noise reduction. It also has a privacy shutter that rotates to block the lens. It supports 1080p at up to 30 fps and 720p at 60 fps and connects to any USB-C port (you’ll need to buy an adapter for USB-A). Logitech promises Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Google Meet certifications.
The Brio 300 is priced the same as Logitech. C920s Pro HD WebcamBut it’s a funky conical design and comes in rose, off-white, or graphite colors. Compared to the $130 Brio 500, there’s no stereo mic, narrower field of view (70 vs. 90 degrees), and no auto-framing. But it’s also almost half the price. The Brio 300 is available now for $70.
