The famous Berlin TV Tower in the German capital was decorated with the Bitcoin (BTC) logo on Saturday.
The Berlin TV Tower (or Berliner TV Tower) is a 368-metre-high tower in the Marienviertag (Marienviertel) near the popular Alexanderplatz square. It was opened by the East German government in 1969 not only as a city but also as a symbol of the communist forces. It is still an important landmark and is Germany’s tallest structure and his third tallest structure in the European Union.
And this landmark was chosen as the canvas for the Bitcoin logo.
It is unclear who the individual or group behind the project is, but one Twitter user seems to have insider information about a series of BTC promotions in Berlin.
Tilo Neumann shared a video of the logo projected onto the tower.
Sharing another video of the projector in action, Neumann talked a bit about the reasoning behind the project. He invited people to Alexanderplatz on his January 21st and said it might attract media attention. In response to a commenter who claimed that people in Berlin no longer have money and therefore cannot invest in BTC, Neumann said:
“Berlin is definitely not wealthy, which is probably true. is to do it another way. ”
However, this was not the first attempt to promote Bitcoin on the Tower. Neumann pointed out that there had been previous attempts to do so, but that “the Projectors weren’t powerful enough to conquer the Tower.”
It’s not just ₿ at night
In November, the projector was taken to another world-famous iconic location: the Berlin Wall. This wall was a concrete wall that separated West and East Germany from 1961 to 1989.
“Nothing in Berlin is steeped in history like the Berlin Wall, which is why we launched our campaign this time. This place represents endless suffering. It represents hope, hope for a just and free world.”
A post earlier this January argued that the world had held fiat standards long enough and it was time for a change, while another post argued that the new fiat currency must be able to raise funds. He said that war could be prevented.
“I think we have done a lot to make Bitcoin more recognizable to the general public,” Neumann said, adding that “Bitcoin is the future.”
Tilo Neumann calls himself a Bitcoiner, investor and CEO. His Twitter page link leads to “Best of Blockchain”. websitea conference to be held in Berlin from 5 to 7 October 2023.
