This year could be a renaissance for Android tablets. In addition to OnePlus’ upcoming slate, Google announced his Pixel tablet at his two 2022 events. Coming later this year, the device runs his Tensor G2 chip from the latest flagship phone while mounted on a speaker base. This follows his ill-fated Pixel Slate, which Google discontinued in 2020 after just two years. The consumer tablet market is dominated by Apple’s iPad, with Samsung and Amazon offering the most popular Android-powered alternatives.
