Warner Bros. Games’ highly anticipated Hogwarts Legacy The game hasn’t been officially released yet, and modders are already working hard to bring the action-adventure RPG to 6DoF VR.
Top VR modding communities of the week Flat2VR Sharing footage of a VR mod currently in development using Praydog’s UE VR Injector Mod. Developers can implement VR support in many AAA games developed using Unreal Engine.
Throughout the approximately 10-minute video provided, players can be seen walking through the magical halls of Hogwarts Castle from a combination of first and third person perspectives. As they explore, they see the walls of the castle come to life with animated portraits and various other magical happenings.
Towards the end of the video, the player joins a charm class and participates in a series of educational activities.
Flat2VR says the game doesn’t support motion controls at this time, so you’ll need to use a gamepad or mouse and keyboard to play. That said, I love the idea of using motion controls to cast spells and fly magic broomsticks.
No word yet on when we can expect Hogwarts Legacy The VR mod will drop, but you can expect something “soon” according to Flat2VR.
